With a unique sound that ranges from the classic harmonies of Alabama and the young sounds of Luke Bryan to the laid back feel of Kenny Chesney and the meaningful messages of Randy Travis, 64 to Grayson is definitely not tacked down to any particular country feel. Already having scuffs on their boots from all up and down the East and Central time zones, 64 to Grayson is geared toward an array of all ages and backgrounds.
The bands six-foot-three lead singer, Zack Shelton of Zanesville, OH, has been at the calling of music since a young age. Being the son of gospel musician Thomas Shelton, Zack gets his passion for music honest, and having had the opportunity to play shows with artists such as Josh Turner, Emerson Drive, and the Gaither Vocal Band; Zack is no stranger to the stage. As a recent graduate of Kentucky Christian University, Zack still finds time to expand his talents in songwriting and performing whenever possible.
Teaming with Zack to form 64 to Grayson are cohorts Craig Cunningham, Tyler Corn, and Tiffany Baker.
The band name 64 to Grayson came from more of recognition than a suggestion. We realized that each of us had diverse backgrounds and grew up listening to and performing greatly varying styles of music said Zack, but we each ended up meeting in the same place. That place was Grayson, KY along interstate 64. The realization that each member took 64 to get to Grayson made the band name simple: 64 to Grayson.
